For the last 30 years the Rhode Island Good Neighbor Energy Fund has provided energy assistance to Rhode Islanders in temporary crisis who cannot pay their energy bills and do not qualify for federal or state funds.
Now, local families need your help more than ever. You can give warmth to a Rhode Island family in need, suffering from sickness or loss of a job. Along with your donation to the Good Neighbor Energy Fund, your energy company will reciprocate with various giving programs.
"Warm Thy Neighbor" by donating online or by sending a check payable to "Good Neighbor Energy Fund" in the yellow donation envelope enclosed with your utility bill or directly to United Way of Rhode Island, 50 Valley Street, Providence, RI 02909. For more information, please call the United Way 2-1-1 in Rhode Island call center by dialing 2-1-1 or visit www.211ri.org
